The Prince of Peace Lutheran Kindergarten opened its doors in May 2011, and is home to the youngest members of the College.
Our Kindergarten is a single unit centre, licensed for 22 children per day.
Prince of Peace Kindergarten will continue to operate the extended hours Kindergarten Program. Under this model, children can attend between 6.30am and 6.00pm for two to five days a week. The Kindergarten will operate for 48 weeks of the year, enabling families to claim Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) on the daily fee. Under this model, families can select the days of the week that best meet the needs of their family, and children must attend at least two days a week
You can find out more by viewing this information sheet.
Our Service Leader/Teacher, Lyn Jackson, is a registered Early Childhood teacher. Lyn is supported by: Assistant Service Leader, Nyree Smith, who is an early Childhood teacher; Lead Educator, Natalie Woodcroft, who is currently studying a Diploma; and Assistant Educators Joanne O’Brien and Bridget Ryan.
The Kindergarten has a bright and spacious classroom equipped with an interactive white board, access to a laptop computer along with a variety of age-appropriate resources and craft supplies. The classroom opens out on to a large, covered veranda area, which overlooks the Prep facility. In addition to toilet and kitchen facilities, the Kindergarten has a superb, shady outdoor play space with climbing frame, large sandpit and natural bush areas.
Enrolment at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Kindergarten is separate from enrolment at the College. To enrol, please phone the Kindergarten on 0407 737 388 or complete the Kindergarten Application Form.
If you are wishing to enrol into the Kindergarten as well as Prep, you must apply for both at the same time. This will ensure that your name is registered with the Kindergarten and the College simultaneously. Entry into the Kindergarten does not guarantee a place for your child in Prep.
For information on how to enrol for Prep please click here or phone the College Marketing and Enrolments Manager, Donna Cook on 07 3872 5710.
