Success at the World Scholar’s Cup

Nine of our Prince of Peace Lutheran College students spent two days of their school holidays participating in the World Scholar’s Cup.

This competition aims to motivate students of all backgrounds to discover new strengths and practice new skills, to inspire a global community of future scholars and leaders. Nine of our students spent two days at Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie), competing against 50 other school teams (150 students) in the Brisbane round of the Scholar’s Cup. The students had three debates, collaborative writing, MC test, and the Scholar’s Cup (a buzzer contest).

The students took home medals in Debating, Collaborative Writing and the Scholar’s Bowl. This is an outstanding achievement with some tremendous personal accomplishments. All three teams experienced success and can progress to the next level, the Global Round, which is in Melbourne (or Barcelona).
