Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located at Everton Hills in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane.  The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community.

Prince of Peace Lutheran College offers classes on two sites from Kindergarten to Year 12 with approximately 820 students enrolled.  The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park.  The Middle & Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills was opened in July 2009 and is currently home to Years 7-12.

Teacher of Primary Years (P-6) Physical Education (including Sports Coordinator)

Position Description

The College is seeking a Primary Years (P-6) Physical Education Teacher (including Sports Coordinator) (FTE 0.8) who is enthusiastic, innovative, dedicated, and willing to support the Christian ethos of the College.

  • This is a permanent part time, FTE 0.8, position, commencing on Thursday 13th January 2022.
  • Both Physical Education Teaching and Sports Coordination are a requirement of this position.
  • Must be available for an interview the week commencing 6 December.

Finance Officer / Accounts Receivable

Position Description

The College is seeking a dynamic, capable and committed individual to work within our busy Finance Team, who is willing to support the Christian ethos of the College.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be motivated and capable
  • Have a strong set of finance skills and the ability to relate well to all members of the College community
  • Hold a current Positive Notice Blue Card

This role encompasses all matters of financial processing and reconciliations, fee and other debtor collection, supporting all finance functions of the College Business Office.

The successful applicant will also coordinate Bus Bookings and billing for Bus Usage and be trained to manage the College payment systems including e-commerce and POS.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have a broad experience that allows them to support the Business Office Assistant in their role, as well as acting as a backup for payroll (training provided).

The implementation of financial policies and procedures through building strong working relationships with all staff members is an essential part of this role. In addition, the College requires someone with skills to enable them to initiate and implement process improvements. You will do this through using technology to focus less on repetitive transactions and more on value adding.

This role will suit an applicant who is looking to work within a dynamic and energetic team, seeking to continually develop and grow their skills, professional and personal development.

School experience is not essential, however the successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate that they understand the unique aspects of school operations and the ability to actively demonstrate the values and Christian Ethos of the College in all aspects of their work.

This is a permanent full-time role, although additional leave during non-term time weeks could be negotiated.
