Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located across two campuses in Everton Park and Everton Hills on the northside of Brisbane.  The College, commencing in 1985 as a primary school and reaching Year 12 in 2012, has a current enrolment of just over 750 students and continues to grow its reputation as a flourishing environment for children and young people to receive a high-quality education.

The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park.

The Middle & Senior Campus, 1km away, is located at Henderson Road, Everton Hills (opened in July 2009) and is currently home to Years 7-12.

Teacher Role Description

1. Teacher of Year 12 Essential Mathematics, Year 12 Social and Communities Studies, Year 9 Christian Studies, Year 7 and 8 Technologies – Fibre (Term 2).

 

2. Teacher of Year 8 and 10 Health and Physical Education, Year 11 Health and Physical Education, Year 8 Science, Year 8 Pastoral Care Teacher (Semester 2).

The following selection criteria, must be addressed by all applicants:

Teacher Selection Criteria

Demonstrated skills which reflect commitment to, and understanding of, the Christian ethos of the College and how it influences Pastoral Care (this may include):

• Demonstrated ability to lead children in Christian worship

• Willingness to contribute to the maintenance of the Christian based caring atmosphere of the College

• Ability to maintain a positive focused, well-managed teaching environment with a high standard of pastoral care using Restorative Practices

Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality teaching and learning programs (this may include):

• Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Curriculum and Syllabus documents

• Ability to plan effective documented programs which include weekly plans and term overviews

• Ability to select and use appropriately a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students

• Ability to integrate ICTs as cross curricular priorities in the curriculum

Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities as a member of the College team.

• Demonstrate a willingness to contribute to and evolve the extra-curricular life of an expanding College
