Volunteering at Prince of Peace
Lutheran schools seek to ensure that each member of the school community enjoys a positive, safe, healthy and respectful workplace.
At Prince of Peace we are committed to observing Christ’s command to love one another and to treat each other with dignity and respect. This is why all volunteers within our school are required to hold a Blue Card, and need to have completed a 30-minute ‘Valuing Safe Communities’ online training course prior to helping in and around the school. Those volunteers who will be preparing or handling food must familiarise themselves with our Cookery and Food Handling Procedures. See links below for more information:

If you have any queries, or should you be unable to access either the internet or your email via a web browser, please contact the Junior Campus Reception so that we can arrange for you to complete the training at the College.
Blue Card Information
It is the College’s preference that all people working with children have a Blue Card. This is especially important for those people who want to attend excursions or camps.
You will need to commence the application process yourself. Please visit the blue card site here.
Please read the details regarding obtaining or renewing your card and follow the instructions. As part of this process, you will need to prove your identity via your Blue Card account number (Note that this is different from your CRN number.
Please note that there is no fee to pay for a blue card if you are only volunteering. Once you have obtained your Blue Card account number, please send this information to Karen Osborne at kosborne@princeofpeace.qld.edu.au along with your date of birth. With this information, we can link you to Prince of Peace and your application will be able to be finalised with the department.
Once you receive a copy of your new blue card, could you please provide a copy to Karen Osborne. Karen Osborne is also the person to send a copy of your existing blue card – front and back, should you already have one.
