Senior School (Y10-12)

We pride ourselves on providing a flexible curriculum that offers our senior students as many course options as possible in a small class environment with committed and caring teaching staff.

To achieve this, we offer senior students the opportunity to undertake:

  • General Subjects that contribute to an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) for entry into a tertiary facility or
  • a range of Applied Subjects, certificate courses, vocational courses, school-based traineeships or apprenticeships for those who want to pursue a vocational pathway.

At the end of Year 9, students choose six elective subjects to study in conjunction with the Year 10 core/compulsory subjects, all of which have been designed to lay foundations and build students’ capabilities for studies in Years 11 and 12. More detail regarding this process can be found in the 2024 Year 10 Subject Selection Handbook.

Prince of Peace has changed my oldest son’s whole outlook on life. He’s happy, achieving well and healthy. He has ambitions to attend university and he is with like-minded high-achieving kids. With three children at the College, I could not be happier with their progress. — Mrs J

To enable Year 10 students to explore possible areas of interest and make an informed choice for their senior phase of learning (Years 11 and 12), they undertake a Short Course in Career Development. The students develop their understanding of potential career options and the steps they need to take to set them on the pathway to a carefully constructed career, and work to create their Senior Educational and Training (SET) Plan.
