This year, 45 of our students took the initiative and proudly participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), one of the largest and most prestigious school-based mathematics competitions in the world. The AMC challenges students to apply problem-solving skills and logical thinking to a variety of engaging and thought-provoking questions, encouraging them to see mathematics beyond the classroom.
At Prince of Peace Lutheran College, we value the AMC not only as an opportunity for students to extend themselves but also as a way to foster a deeper connection with mathematics. By participating, our students build resilience, creativity, and confidence in tackling unfamiliar problems- key skills that benefit them across all areas of learning.
We actively promote the AMC as part of our commitment to supporting high achievers and students in extension programs, encouraging them to embrace challenges and strive for excellence in mathematics. We are proud of our students for representing our school and celebrating their passion for learning.
